John Diecker

A native of the St. Louis, Missouri area, John Diecker has been a resident of Thailand since 1982.  He graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978 and went on to earn masters degrees in International Business Administration and Environmental Engineering. 

Mr. Diecker’s experience in Thailand began as a technical and project management consultant to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.  Following completion of his EGAT project responsibilities, he founded Asia-Pacific Technotrade (Thailand) Ltd. in 1996.  APT continues to be involved in projects with EGAT, Thailand's Ministry of Energy and power producers in Thailand and the region.

As an environmental engineer, Mr. Diecker’s Asia experience began in 1992 when he was a founding partner of Proviron Co., Ltd., an environmental engineering consulting company.

Mr. Diecker’s focus is currently on the development of renewable energy power projects and in providing electric power and environment-related consulting services to multi-national firms operating in southeast Asia.

In addition to his responsibilities with APT, Mr. Diecker presently serves on the board of directors of SEA Power Company Ltd. and Beung Samphan Biomass Power Co.,  Ltd.  He also serves as a consultant to Thailand's Ministry of Energy.
